EXTENDED SHELF LIFE & REDUCED CO2 EMISSIONS
SPC is a patented cement developed by INKAS® and proven by thorough research at University of Toronto to outperform ordinary Portland Cement and known Hydrophobic (fatty acid) Cement at any storage period.
- Reduced CO2 emissions and dusting (see FIGURE 1)
- Higher concrete strength and durability (see FIGURE 2)
- Lower water permeability of concrete (see FIGURES 3,4)
- Over 4 times longer shelf life
- Protected from atmospheric moisture and from accidental contact with water
- More uniform cement particle size translates into higher cement efficiency
Despite the significant increase in performance, SPC has a cost similar to Portland Cement and does not require any additional capital investments – making it a viable alternative to replace Portland Cement within the industry.

The strength of concrete made from INKAS® Self-Protecting Cement is noticeably higher than the strength of the concrete made from ordinary Portland Cement and known Hydrophobic (fatty acids) Cement at any storage period. Additionally, the Self-Protecting Cement is essentially less dusty than Hydrophobic (fatty acids) and ordinary Portland Cement.

Portland Cement is designed to react chemically with water and accordingly loses its activity during storage and transportation under influence of moisture present in the atmosphere. Self-Protected Cement is shielded from contact with atmospheric moisture and from accidental short-term contact with water prior to preparing cement compositions.

Ordinary Portland Cement presents challenges in tropical regions, where the hot and humid climate accelerates the deterioration of cement during transportation and storage. However, with an extended shelf life of more than 4 times that of ordinary Portland Cement, INKAS® SPC is ideal for tropical climates, as well as countries with poor logistics.
INKAS® is seeking an industry partner to test proof-of-concept and represent SPC or its technology
